The Gas Scheduler’s main responsibility is to assist in forecasting, purchasing, nominating and tracking all gas requirements to and from pipelines, utilities and wholesale counterparties.  The Gas Scheduler will interact with all pipelines and utilities in which the Company operates.


  • Retrieve daily requirements from utilities and deliver required gas by nominating pipelines and utility ebb’s.
  • Track all gas purchases and flows in tracking database.
  • Approve and allocate costs associated with gas.
  • Work closely with supply, risk, and finance departments for gas related transactions.
  • Maintain relationships with the relevant pipelines, utilities and wholesale counterparts.
  • Research pipeline and utility tariffs to optimize supply costs and risk positions.
  • Reconcile invoices from counterparties.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or a Mathematics-related discipline.
  • 2-4 years’ gas scheduling experience required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with multiple and complex Excel spreadsheets.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to work additional hours, outside of regular work hours.
  • Enjoys working in an open collaborative environment.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status).
