The California Sales Operations Manager is a key member of the Crius Solar Sales Operations team who works with the California Outside Sales channels in expanding and supporting their sales and lead generation capabilities. The successful Sales Operations Manager will be highly responsive and sales-focused, with strong business acumen and leadership skills required to drive efficiencies and improvements. . The Sales Operations Manager will work with both external and internal parties on new sales initiatives, help implement new sales and lead generation channels, drive sales process changes, and implement reporting and success metrics.


The Sales Operations Manager will work directly with multiple groups including sales teams, sales operations, and field operations to ensure the sales team have all the tools and products required to effectively reach new lead opportunities, sell and enroll customers, and to then manage those  customers to install.  The Sales Operations Manager be highly motivated, able to think strategically while showing careful attention to detail, and be accountable for helping California solar sales grow in a profitable and scalable manner.

  • Manage ongoing business relationship with several California sales leaders.
  • Work with sales leaders to assist in sales recruiting, office setup, and rollout of strategic initiatives.
  • Develop training and support for sales teams to ramp sales and support a smooth signing process.
  • Coordinate rollout of new initiatives with the sales teams to originate new deals into the portfolio.
  • Work on developing new lead generation and marketing programs for the California market.
  • As the business grows, they may manage, train, and coach support staff to effectively tackle operational and customer issues.
  • Coordinate launch of new products and processes with sales partners.
  • Ensure customers are converting successfully from sale to install with minimal breakage.
  • Troubleshoot systematic issues within the sale-to-install journey and implement changes to address.
  • Work as a team player on a fast paced and caring team that recognizes we all win together.




  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in the solar or energy industries considered a plus.
  • 5-10 years work experience in business development, operations, or sales support roles.
  • 3-5 years experience managing direct reports.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and willing to roll up their sleeves.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer focused with close attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including strong in Excel.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)
