Overview

The Operations Specialist performs general clerical tasks of a routine nature.  The Operations Specialist will support a variety of administrative activities while serving as a customer service agent in resolving account issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general office duties including filing, telephones, mail sorting and distribution and composing correspondence.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to team leaders and managers.
  • Be the front desk gatekeeper and use good judgement with unwanted solicitations.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
  • Hand out and accept job applications from walk-in applicants.
  • Prepare correspondence and documents as needed.
  • Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry from a variety of resources.
  • Check source documents for accuracy and verify and correct data.
  • Obtain further information for incomplete records by utilizing various databases and procedures.
  • Maintain spreadsheets as needed of activities and tasks, such as returned mail or outbound calling campaigns.
  • Respond to requests for information from a variety of systems and files.
  • Organize and arrange document data in numerical or alphabetical order
  • Compares data entered with source documents and makes corrections as necessary.
  • Print reports, verify and validate information for accuracy.
  • Perform necessary account and customer research for issue resolution.
  • Resolves issues of both simple and complex nature.
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or higher.
  • 1 – 2 years related experience and/or training.
  • Good communications skills, both written and verbal are required.
  • Previous experience and proven ability working in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented verbally or in writing.
  • Good listening and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic PC Skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel®.
  • Able to stay motivated in a repetitive work environment.
  • Good multi-taskings skills and ability to adapt to change.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use multiple computer applications (i.e. database, word-processing) and ACD telephone system.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)
