Overview

Our growing company is seeking a smart, well-rounded  Collections Specialist to join our Finance department. The Collections Specialist will support the Collections Managers to ensure collections calls, follow-up documentation and reporting are completed in a timely manner. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a public company where being a Collections Specialist is more than just a job!

Responsibilities

  • Respond to collection in-box inquiries.
  • Call between 90-120 collection accounts daily.
  • Meet monthly collection target as required by market.
  • Generate ad-hoc reporting as required by management.
  • Research and follow up on bankruptcy notifications.
  • Research and work with legal to attach liens to large commercial collection accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2 plus years collection’s experience both commercial and residential customers.
  • 2 plus years in skip tracing.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required.
  • Familiar with bankruptcy and Judgements.
  • Familiar with able to adhere to FDCPA, FCRA, UDAAP, and CFPB requirements.
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)
