Overview

The Operations Analyst will join a team of Analysts responsible for managing billing and rates functions for nearly 1 million  customers.  The Analyst will utilize the billing systems, data extracts, utility web portals, and various other internal systems to facilitate operations related activities and inquiries. They will work closely with Operations senior management, members of the Billing, Enrollments, Fulfillments and Rates Departments and internal stakeholders.  The Operations Analyst will also have a strong orientation towards process improvement and data analysis that lead to increasing efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal billing and rates systems to invoice accounts, manage customer account information, respond to customer and internal stakeholder inquiries and manage exceptions on a daily basis.
  • Work cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Supply, Finance and Operations teams to understand markets by state, Independent System Operator (ISO) market and Customer segment.
  • Utilize analytic skills to identify issues and root causes to resolve compliance, sales, legal, rates and management inquiries related to operations.
  • Partner with external vendors and technology to regularly manage daily issues and identify potential process improvements.
  • Work with and analyze large data sets using MS Excel.
  • Support ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. Analytically-driven major or coursework a plus.
  • Experience working with ECI or iSigma is a strong plus.
  • Wholesale or retail energy experience is a plus.
  • SQL and VBA experience is a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize information into meaningful conclusions and tactical recommendations.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access).
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrate an ability to understand complex issues rapidly.
  • High level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplined, cross-functional team in a collaborative environment.
  • Consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)
