The Contract Recruiter will use their expertise to source, recruit, and select candidates primarily for the Crius Solar brand. He/she will creatively approach the recruiting challenges of a highly competitive market and be equally focused on critical assessment and high-quality hires. The bulk of hiring is high-volume, outside sales positions. 


The Contract Recruiter will source passive and active candidates, develop a network and process to support a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with legal requirements, and build consultative relationships with hiring managers.  The Talent Acquisition Manager and HR Director will work with the Contract Recruiter to determine methods and procedures, recommend best and most cost-effective approaches for attracting and discovering talent and work together on agreed goals.



  • Utilize iCIMS, the applicant tracking system, to screen and organize candidates for select positions.
  • Participate in the full life-cycle of hiring; screening, interviewing, extending offers and onboarding.
  • Assist with identifying creative and appropriate sourcing channels.
  • Identify talent at competitors (locally and regionally) and use the right messaging to reach high-quality candidates.
  • Identify and proactively reach out to passive candidates and articulate the Crius Energy and Solar brands.
  • Leverage technology and social media to enhance the recruiting process and candidate flow.
  • Provide weekly status reports to Talent Acquisition Manager and HR Director.


  • 2+ years recruiting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Experience sourcing high-volume sales positions preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • High drive and willingness to extend/adjust hours of work to cater to the needs and availability of talent (including evenings and weekends when necessary).
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking Systems (moving from iCIMS to UltiPro in Q1 2018).
  • Superior telephone and interpersonal communication skills, including proficiency in cold-calling.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of and commitment to EEOC and other relevant employment laws.
  • Willingness and ability to travel when necessary to visit other offices and attend recruiting events.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)
